India, June 4 -- Apple is preparing for one of its biggest software announcements of the year with the upcoming iOS 27, expected to be revealed at WWDC 2026. Early reports suggest that while the update will bring major improvements in performance, design refinements, and AI-based features, it may also end support for several older iPhone models.

Apple has traditionally offered longer software support than most smartphone brands, often extending updates for 5-7 years. However, each major iOS release eventually phases out older hardware as system demands increase.
