India, Aug. 22 -- Alaska plane crash Live Update: A routine flight to one of western Alaska's most isolated military facilities ended in tragedy when a charter aircraft crashed during a second attempt to land in rapidly worsening fog. All eight people aboard the Cessna 441 died, including two U.S. Army Corps of Engineers employees and four contractors.

Federal investigators are now examining the final moments of the flight and the weather conditions that surrounded the crash.
