India, Aug. 2 -- For years, the Air Jordan 1 through Air Jordan 14 have remained the most popular silhouettes in Jordan Brand's lineup, with regular retro releases keeping them in demand. That trend, however, appears to be shifting as the brand continues to shine a spotlight on later models. One of the latest examples is the Air Jordan 17 Low "Black Patent," a refreshed take on the original 2002 black colorway. While the classic version featured smooth black leather, the upcoming release swaps it for glossy patent leather across most of the upper, paired with chrome accents for a premium finish. The tongue retains perforated leather, replacing the croc-embossed detailing seen on the original pair.
