After securing a historic victory in the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has shifted its focus to Punjab, gearing up for a major political showdown with the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in the 2027 Assembly elections. Party leaders believe the Bengal win has boosted the morale of workers and demonstrated that the BJP can emerge as a strong force even in states where it previously had limited influence.

Officials and workers of the party said, "Bengal ki jeet hamari hai, ab Punjab ki baari hai" (Bengal has been won, now it is Punjab's turn).
