India, Oct. 9 -- Afghanistan and Bangladesh are set to meet in a one-off Test from October 9 to 13, 2026, at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The match will begin at 11:00 AM IST, with the teams level at 1-1 across their two previous Test meetings. Bangladesh, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, will look to build on its recent red-ball results, while managing the absence of rested Taskin Ahmed and injured Nahid Rana. Afghanistan, meanwhile, begin a new chapter under Test captain Rahmat Shah, replacing Hashmatullah Shahidi. Their squad includes in-form domestic performers Sediqullah Atal and Shahidullah Kamal, but with Rashid Khan rested, Qais Ahmad is expected to shoulder much of the spin-bowling responsibility.
