India, July 16 -- A fatal tanker truck crash has forced the closure of all lanes of the Florida Turnpike near Bird Road/SW 40th Street, causing major traffic disruptions in both directions.

All lanes of the Florida Turnpike were shut down Thursday morning following a fatal traffic accident involving an overturned tanker truck near the Bird Road/SW 40th Street exit. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the truck was traveling southbound when it lost control, overturned, and struck the highway's center concrete barrier wall. The driver of the tanker truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
