India, Sept. 29 -- Bengal wicketkeeper-batter Abishek Porel has finally returned to competitive cricket.

The Cricket Association of Bengal 9CAB) has included the 23-year-old in the state senior squad for pre-season warm-up matches against Assam.

This call comes barely ten days after Porel walked out of jail on bail in an alleged sexual offence case.

The domestic red-ball season begins next month, and Bengal officials want their core lineup tested before the main tournament gets underway.
