India, April 26 -- One year after the deadly terror attack that shook the serene meadows of Pahalgam, Kashmir is showing steady signs of recovery. The Valley, once gripped by grief and uncertainty, is gradually reclaiming its rhythm as tourists return in encouraging numbers, signalling renewed trust in the region's safety and hospitality.

At the centre of this transformation stands a newly established martyrs' memorial near the popular selfie point at Baisaran. The memorial bears the names of all 26 civilians who lost their lives in the attack, offering visitors a place for quiet reflection. The surrounding area has been beautified, turning the once-tragic site into a symbol of remembrance and resilience.
