India, July 18 -- 8th Pay Commission Latest News: The 8th Pay Commission (8th CPC) has officially started its work after the Central Government notified its Terms of Reference (ToR) and constituted the Commission. It has also invited suggestions from Central Government employees, pensioners, ministries and other stakeholders before finalising its recommendations. The Commission has been given 18 months to submit its report, which is expected to benefit over one crore Central Government employees and pensioners, including defence and railway personnel. The recommendations will focus on revising salaries, pensions, allowances, gratuity and performance-linked incentives while keeping the country's financial position in mind.
