India, May 16 -- The 8th Central Pay Commission has intensified its discussions with employee unions as central government staff organisations continue pushing for major changes in salaries, pensions, allowances, and annual increments.

Several unions representing government employees and pensioners are demanding a significant increase in minimum pay, better pension structures, higher allowances, and stronger inflation-linked benefits to match rising living costs and workplace challenges.
