India, April 25 -- The Pragatisheel Shikshak Nyaya Manch (PSNM), which represents Union Territory central government teachers, has submitted a detailed memorandum to the 8th Pay Commission on April 20, 2026. The body has demanded a minimum basic salary of Rs.50,000-Rs.60,000 and a fitment factor ranging from 2.62 to 3.83 for teachers working in institutions like Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas.

PSNM is affiliated with the All India NPS Employee Federation (AINPSEF) and has put forward a wide range of proposals aimed at improving salaries, allowances, and service conditions.
