India, Sept. 22 -- The 72nd National Film Awards ceremony was held on September 22 at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat. It marks a major change from the awards' long-standing tradition of being hosted in New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu presented the honours to winners from across Indian cinema at the ceremony which was held near the Statue of Unity. The awards recognised films certified in 2024 with 92 winners receiving honours across different categories.
