India, May 28 -- Sharyn Alfonsi, a veteran "60 Minutes" correspondent, said on Wednesday that she believes CBS News has removed her from the program. This comes after she raised issues about the way Bari Weiss, the news division's editor in chief, handled an Alfonsi report about how the US deported Venezuelan men to a harsh prison in El Salvador. Alfonsi worked on the venerable newsmagazine since 2015.

Sharyn Alfonsi Removed From 60 Minutes?

Alfonsi's contract at "60 Minutes" reportedly expired earlier this month, and CBS News executives did not make efforts to contact her representatives at the large talent agency UTA to renew terms.
