India, May 24 -- Welles Remy Crowther will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously for his bravery during the 9/11 attacks. The announcement was made by US President Donald Trump at a rally in New York's Rockland County. Crowther will be awarded during the 25th anniversary of the twin tower attacks, which claimed over 2500 lives on September 11, 2001. Reports said Republican Congressman Mike Lawler and other local leaders pushed for Crowther to be honored ahead of the 9/11 anniversary.
