India, May 27 -- A major anti-drug operation off the Gujarat coast led to the seizure of cocaine worth nearly Rs.1,150 crore after the Indian Coast Guard and Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad intercepted a suspected narcotics consignment near Mundra Port.

Officials said the joint operation took place during the night of May 25 and 26 after intelligence agencies received specific information about drugs being smuggled into India through the maritime route.

According to officials, authorities recovered around 115 kg of cocaine from the Arabian Sea near the outer anchorage of Mundra Port in Gujarat.
