India, April 14 -- Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday April 14, 2026 delivered a sharp and strongly worded attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party while addressing a public rally in Pingla, urging voters from all sections of society to come together against what she characterised as divisive and authoritarian politics.
Speaking to the gathering, Banerjee called on people to vote against the BJP, describing it as the only way to "take revenge" for what she alleged was the party "snatching everything" from the public. She accused the BJP of attempting to "divide and humiliate the people of West Bengal" and undermine the state's democratic framework.
