India, May 18 -- Belarus Nuclear Weapons Deployment: Belarus has announced the start of military exercises focused on deploying Russian nuclear weapons, adding to growing global concerns over the security situation surrounding the Ukraine war and NATO's eastern borders.

The Belarusian Defence Ministry confirmed on Monday that its armed forces had begun joint drills with Russian personnel to practise handling and deploying tactical nuclear weapons in the field.

The move comes as tensions between Russia and Western nations remain high over the continuing conflict in Ukraine.
