India, March 15 -- Lewis Hamilton's podium drought finally ended as the Ferrari star finished third at the Chinese Grand Prix 2026 securing his first top three place with the Italian Manufacturers on March 15, Sunday.

The last time the seven-time world champion won a race was in November 2024 when he was with Mercedes. In 2025, when Hamilton broke 14-year old bond with the Silver Arrows and joined Ferrari, he endured the worst Formula 1 season of his career without a single win or podium.

This weekend the race was won by Italian Kimi Antonelli, the 19-year-old who took Hamilton's seat last year, with former teammate George Russell second on a podium that offered a snapshot of Mercedes's past, present and future.
