India, June 12 -- Indian legend Virat Kohli posted a heartfelt note for Kane Williamson, who announced his retirement from international cricket on Friday. The New Zealand great hangs up his gloves after representing his country in more than 100 Tests, 175 ODIs, and 95 T20Is during his illustrious career spanning over 15 years. It was no doubt a shocking announcement from Williamson, who featured in the recently concluded first Test against England at Lord's. With two more matches remaining in the series, the Kiwi legend stepped away to leave his spot for the young generation. A member of the iconic "Fab Four" alongside Kohli, Steve Smith and Joe Root, Williamson retires with more than 10,000 runs in Test cricket.
