US, April 17 -- US President Donald Trump on Friday congratulated former Indian ambassador to the United States, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, on his appointment as the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, and highlighted his role in strengthening India-US ties. Sandhu was sworn in as the 23rd Lieutenant Governor of Delhi on March 11.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised the "seasoned" diplomat and extended his best wishes for his new role.
