Political leaders mourn death of veteran actor Nana Patekar
US, Oct. 8 -- Veteran actor Nana Patekar's death at the age of 75 has prompted an outpouring of tributes from political leaders across party lines, who remembered his contribution to Hindi and Marathi cinema as well as his social work.
Patekar died at a hospital in Goa on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence. Doctors attempted to revive him for around 45 minutes but could not save him.
In a post on X, PM Narendra Modi praised Patekar's range as an actor and said his performances had created characters that would continue to be remembered.
