US, Nov. 5 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said India has managed global economic crises effectively so far, adding that the situation could have been far more severe had the country not invested in clean energy and developed the necessary systems and infrastructure over the past decade.

Addressing the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit and Expo in New Delhi, PM Modi said India had continued to maintain a high growth rate despite global economic challenges, underlining the growing importance of renewable energy in the country's development journey.
