India, Canada may seal trade deal by year end
US, Sept. 18 -- While the Indian government expects the EU authorities to sign the text of the free trade agreement (FTA) with India by the end of this year, it also expects to complete negotiations on a trade deal with Canada by that time, Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal said.
Canada's Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu is arriving in India on Friday for a two-day visit focused on rapidly taking forward ongoing negotiations towards a comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA).
