Washington, June 27 -- The United States has carried out airstrikes on Iranian military targets in response to a drone attack on a cargo ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz, with the US Central Command (CENTCOM) saying missile and drone launch sites as well as coastal radar installations were targeted overnight.
The strikes followed remarks by US President Donald Trump at the White House, where he said there would be consequences for what he described as Iran's violation of the ceasefire agreement.
