India, March 24 -- The Centre calls for an all-party meeting on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing West Asia crisis, sources said, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Parliament on the issue.
In his statement in the Lok Sabha, Modi warned that the difficult global conditions arising from the conflict are likely to persist and urged the nation to remain prepared and united, as during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He highlighted concerns over the impact on fuel supplies, fertilisers, national security and Indian nationals residing in the region, outlining steps taken by the government to minimise disruption for citizens.
