No dates written below the raw paintings. No names of the artists. No explanation of what a particular figure or animal was meant to convey.
And yet, standing inside one of the rock shelters, it is difficult not to feel that someone, thousands of years ago, was trying to communicate something.
A group of figures appears to move across the rock. Animals are visible among them. Elsewhere are scenes of hunting, dancing and collective activity. The colors, though softened ...
