Jammu Tawi, Jul 01: For the first time, the Government of the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has decided to promote tourism in Jammu on the pattern of Kashmir by bringing in House Boats, Shikaras and Motor Boats for the tourist at the Tawi River Front on the pattern of Dal Lake.
It may be mentioned that the Tawi River Front at Jammu has been developed on the lines of Sabarmati River Front of Gujrat. "The government has decided to promote tourism in Jammu on the pattern similar to Dal Lake, where tourists enjoy Shikara and house boat ride," sources informed the Northlines.
