Jammu, May 19 -- The Jammu & Kashmir Prison Department's efforts to strengthen communication control mechanisms inside prisons reflect an important and necessary step toward addressing one of the most serious emerging security challenges within correctional facilities - illegal mobile communication by inmates.

Unauthorized communication from inside prisons is no longer merely a disciplinary concern.
