Srinagar Police Demolish Rs.1.5 Cr Illegal Property Linked to Wanted Drug Peddler
Srinagar, May 20 -- The Srinagar Police demolished an illegally constructed property worth nearly Rs.1.5 crore in the Lal Bazar area of Srinagar, allegedly linked to a wanted drug peddler, as part of its intensified anti-narcotics abhiyan.
The action was carried out under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, with officials stating that a two-storey structure along with an adjoining room and washroom built on state land at Haka Bazar was razed by Police Station Lal Bazar.
Police said the property, spread over around nine marlas, was linked to accused Arshid Ahmed Sheikh, a resident of the area, who is wanted in multiple cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
