Jammu, May 28 -- JK SRTC to provide 200 buses, fare list to be issued a week before Yatra

Jammu Tawi, May 27: The holy Amarnath Yatra of this year 2026 is going to be the costliest ever as the passenger fare for all the buses to be deployed for ferrying the pilgrims from Jammu to Srinagar and back from Srinagar to Jammu will be hiked by around twenty five percent (25%).

A total of two hundred (200) buses, including deluxe coach, Semi Deluxes and others will be provided by the J&K SRTC Department for the holy Amarnath Yatra this year.

Out of these 200 buses, one hundred (100) buses will ferry the Amarnath pilgrims on a daily basis in form of 'Jatha' from Jammu to Srinagar and back from Srinagar to Jammu, official sources ...
