New Delhi, July 24 -- Activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his 26-day indefinite hunger strike shortly after midnight on Friday at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, following a meeting with Union Ministers J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh. Wangchuk broke his fast in the presence of the two ministers and his wife, Gitanjali, marking a significant development in the ongoing agitation over the alleged NEET paper leak.
Wangchuk had been on an indefinite fast since June 28 after joining the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)-led protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.
