India, Sept. 23 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police in Baramulla district seized six vehicles during a special enforcement drive in Tangmarg on Tuesday following complaints of harassment and overcharging of tourists and visitors.

The seized vehicles, including Sumos and autos, were found violating provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and were taken into custody under relevant legal provisions, police said.

The enforcement drive was conducted within the jurisdiction of Police Station Tangmarg to ensure safe, fair and hassle-free movement of tourists and visitors and to prevent practices that could adversely affect the tourism environment.
