Jammu Tawi, June 10 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday launched a Rs 2.47 crore flood protection project at Fattu Kotli near Jammu aimed at strengthening the left bank of the Chenab River and reducing the risk of erosion and flood damage to nearby habitations and infrastructure.
J&K Jal Shakti Minister Javed Ahmed Rana laid the foundation for the restoration and construction works, which are intended to improve riverbank stability and enhance flood resilience in the area located on the outskirts of Jammu.
