Jammu Tawi, Jun 10: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday announced a new commercial stoppage of the Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express at Anantnag following a meeting with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in New Delhi.
According to a statement issued, the meeting focused on ongoing and future railway projects aimed at strengthening connectivity and accelerating economic growth in Jammu and Kashmir.
The statement said the decision to introduce a stoppage at Anantnag will benefit commuters, tourists and traders by providing improved access to one of Kashmir's key economic and cultural centres.
