Srinagar, May 2 -- The Meteorological Department on Friday said Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness a spell of rain and thundershowers between May 3 and 4, accompanied by gusty winds and possible hailstorms at a few places.

According to the evening weather bulletin, May 1 was generally dry, with a brief spell of light rain at isolated places towards the afternoon. On May 2, light rain or thundershowers may occur at scattered places with gusty winds.

"Generally cloudy conditions with one or two spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are expected at most places on May 3 and 4, with thunder, hailstorm and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) at a few locations," the MeT department said.
