Mendhar, June 17 -- The health authorities in Mendhar, along with local administration and police, on Tuesday sealed a private medical facility, Apex Health Care Clinic, located opposite Dak Bungalow in Mendhar town of Poonch district, following alleged irregularities and violations, officials said.

The action was carried out jointly by Block Medical Officer (BMO) Mendhar Dr. Gazala, SHO Mendhar, a police team and the Naib Tehsildar during an inspection of the clinic.

Officials said the inspection revealed that no qualified eye specialist was present at the facility at the time of the visit. They added that a BUMS practitioner was found operating the clinic, following which it was sealed as per rules, pending further investigation.
