Jammu, Sept. 9 -- A 32-year-old man died after allegedly falling unconscious at a border police post in the R S Pura sector early Wednesday, triggering a protest by his family members and relatives who demanded clarity over the circumstances surrounding his death.
The deceased, Uttam Chand, a resident of Rakh village, had been called to the Chakroi police post following a complaint lodged by a woman neighbour in connection with a property dispute, official sources said.
According to preliminary information, Chand fell unconscious at the police post and was subsequently taken to the Sub-district Hospital, R S Pura, at around 4 am.
Doctors at the hospital referred him to Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, for further treatment. Howev...
