Srinagar, June 6 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday inaugurated two facilities set up in Ganderbal district to ensure a seamless pilgrimage experience for devotees during the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.

These were the District Emergency Operations Centre and Shri Amarnathji Yatra Control Room established at the Deputy Commissioner's Office.

According to a spokesperson, Ganderbal Deputy Commissioner Jatin Kishore briefed Sinha about the key features of the new facilities.

The Emergency Operations Centre will pool feed from CCTVs installed across Ganderbal by the district administration, police and other security forces; this will ensure real-time monitoring of the yatra at a single centralised location, he said.
