Jammu, Sept. 3 -- The recent tragedy on the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage route has shocked millions of devotees across the world. Hundreds of pilgrims and tourists were reported dead or missing after devastating flash floods and mudslides struck the Nepal-Tibet border region on August 29, 2026. The disaster occurred on one of the most sacred pilgrimage routes for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and followers of Bon faith.
