SRINAGAR, Sept. 7 -- The juvenile justice system must remain firmly rooted in fairness, rehabilitation and the developmental needs of children in conflict with law, Justice Sindhu Sharma, Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and Chairperson of its Juvenile Justice Committee, said on Saturday.
Justice Sharma was addressing a one-day annual consultation on "Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015: A Decade of Implementation and the Way Forward", organised by the Juvenile Justice Committee, High Court of J&K and Ladakh, with the support of UNICEF India, at the J&K Judicial Academy, Mominabad, Srinagar.
