New Delhi, June 28 -- With hydro generation impacted by silt, the Northern Regional Power Committee (NRPC) has pulled up Jammu & Kashmir for its tendency to over-draw from the grid when its own generation dips.
This caution comes as the committee noted that despite a strict deviation mechanism, these states continue to face challenges in managing low-voltage profiles.
NRPC has said that it has been experienced that states those have major share in hydro like Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh over draw from the grid during such conditions.
As deviation mechanism is also strict, the committee reminded each state to plan in advance for such eventualities.
