Jammu Tawi, Aug. 13 -- Jammu and Kashmir has received 2,299 loans amounting to around Rs 39.36 crore under the Concessional Credit/Weaver MUDRA Scheme since 2021-22, while 54 upgraded looms and accessories, 32 individual worksheds and 145 lighting units have been provided under the National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP), the Centre informed the Lok Sabha.
The details were provided by Union Minister of State for Textiles Pabitra Margherita in reply to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 3786, raised by Adv Devesh Kuriakose regarding Handloom Producer Companies, upgraded looms, worksheds, lighting units and Weaver MUDRA loans.
