J&K Traffic Police Gets 350 Modern Vehicles, 685 Bodycams To Strengthen Road Safety
JAMMU, May 18 -- Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police has inducted over 350 modern vehicles and 685 body-worn cameras to strengthen traffic enforcement, monitoring and road safety across the Union Territory, officials said.
The new fleet includes motorcycles, interceptor vehicles, highway patrol units and cranes aimed at improving field enforcement and highway management. Authorities said more than 1,000 enforcement assets have been procured under road safety funds to enhance operational efficiency.
Among the additions are 213 Pulsar motorcycles, 69 Royal Enfield bikes, 19 interceptor vehicles, 16 Innova highway patrol units, along with cranes and Tata Winger vehicles.
