JAMMU, June 12 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of eight officers and officials of the Mining Department with immediate effect to ensure smooth functioning of the department.

According to a government order issued by the Mining Department, three JKAS officers awaiting posting orders in the department have been appointed as District Mineral Officers (DMOs). Chander Kant Bhagat has been posted as DMO Kishtwar and given additional charge of Doda, while Sunil Kumar has been posted as DMO Ramban with additional charge of Udhampur. Naveed Hussain Badroo has been posted as DMO Kupwara.
