J&K High Court Adopts Virtual Hearings, Suspends LTC Amid Fuel Conservation Measures
Jammu, May 20 -- Jammu and Kashmir High Court has ordered a shift to virtual hearings, suspended Leave Travel Concession (LTC) and curtailed physical activities as part of fuel conservation measures amid rising energy concerns.
As per a circular issued by the Registrar General, the directives will come into effect from May 21 and remain in force until further orders. The court has encouraged virtual hearings and online appearances by advocates, subject to prescribed protocols.
During the vacation period beginning June 8, cases before designated benches will be heard through virtual mode. However, advocates facing technical constraints may appear physically when courts function offline.
