JAMMU, Sept. 1 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has accorded administrative approval for two major parking projects in Jammu city at a combined cost of Rs 49.34 crore, aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving organised parking facilities in key areas.

According to Government Order No. 184-JK (HUD) of 2026, dated August 31, the Housing and Urban Development Department has approved Rs 24.065 crore for a Parking-cum-Commercial Complex at Parade and Rs 25.2749 crore for a Multilevel Car Parking facility at SMGS Hospital, Shalamar.

The projects have been approved under the Capex Budget 2026-27, with financial assistance to the Jammu Municipal Corporation.
