SRINAGAR, April 30 -- Two workers were killed and another injured after a steamer exploded during repair work at a juice factory in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Thursday.

The incident occurred at Aglar on Wednesday night when the blast left three workers-Saurabh Singh, Shiv Kumar and Raj Kumar-critically injured while they were repairing the equipment.

All three were rushed to a hospital, where Saurabh Singh succumbed to injuries late Wednesday night, while Shiv Kumar died on Thursday morning. Raj Kumar is currently undergoing treatment, officials said.

The victims are residents of Uttar Pradesh, they added.
