JAMMU, July 29 -- Authorities on Wednesday ordered the closure of all government and private schools in Doda district and most parts of Kishtwar district as a precautionary measure following persistent rainfall and deteriorating weather conditions, officials said.

While physical classes have been suspended, schools in both districts have been directed to continue teaching through online mode to minimise disruption to academic activities.

Acting on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Doda, ordered the closure of all government and private educational institutions across the district on July 29 to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the prevailing weather conditions.
