Jammu Tawi, Aug. 7 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday said the government is committed to strengthening religious and tourism infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to reporters here Chief Minister Omar said, "Jammu is known as the City of Temples. People generally come here to seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi and visit the temples. They come here to bow before the deities and offer prayers. We want to further strengthen religious tourism in Jammu so that more devotees visit the region and the local economy also benefits."
