Jammu Tawi, June 21 -- The ongoing census operation in Jammu city has entered its final phase, with data collection completed for around 205,000 households out of an estimated 293,000, officials said on Friday.

Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner Divyansh Yadav, while addressing a press conference, said that more than 1,000 enumerators are currently engaged in door-to-door data collection under the ongoing exercise.

He informed that the census campaign has been underway for the past 20 days, with about 10 days remaining for completion. The collected data is being systematically uploaded as part of the process.
